Heartstrings Presents: The Great Gatsby

SEEKING: Strong actors ages 12-18 for the 2026 production of The Great Gatsby! We welcome all abilities, regardless of race, gender (conforming and non-conforming), religion, sexual orientation, body type and/or size, disability, and/or personal background.

AUDITIONS:

Auditions will take place on Friday, January 9th, 5:00pm-8:00pm PM at Heartstrings Theatre Company, located at 7200 Montgomery Blvd NE, Suite G3

Please come with a 30 second to one-minute monologue prepared.  Auditionees should plan to stay the entire time.

Callbacks will take place at Heartstrings Theatre Company on Tuesday, January 13th, from 5-8pm

REHEARSALS:

Rehearsals begin January 27th (01/27) and typically run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5-8pm.

Note: there will also be a MANDATORY parent meeting at the rehearsal on 1/27, followed by a read through of the script.

Based on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, First published in 1925, this quintessential story of the Jazz Age has been acclaimed by generations of readers. The story of the mysteriously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan, of lavish parties on Long Island in the heat of the "roaring twenties." The Great Gatsby is an exquisitely crafted tale of America, now a beloved classic, often first experienced as part of reading curriculum in high school English courses.
