Kellen Law is an actor, singer, dancer, and teaching artist. Her various pursuits are united by a passion for creating spaces and experiences where people feel seen, heard and valued. She holds a B.F.A. in Acting from Syracuse University and an M.A. in Educational Theater from New York University. Through her work as a performer and arts educator, Kellen has worked with organizations around the country including the New York Theatre Workshop, the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Syracuse Stage, Seattle Children’s Theatre, and The Pasadena Playhouse. As a teaching artist, Kellen has worked with adults and children of all ages, and loves being able to take part in their artistic journey. When she's not performing or teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

for ages 5-10

In the class we’re helping characters jump off of the page and into real life! Through theatre games and improvisation, students will explore how to use voice and movement to create unique characters and how to tell a story with clear plot points. Using their new-found skills, students will create and perform a brief play adapted from a book. Our week will culminate in a final sharing for family and friends.

for ages 11+

In this class, students will work as an ensemble to create new fables that are then developed into a short play. On this journey we’ll draw on our individual experiences, interests, imaginings and life lessons to form an entirely new creation. Students will develop the plot, characters, dialogue, and use their body, voice and imagination to tell the story. Our week will culminate in a final sharing for family and friends.
